Research IT Participates in ETS Open House

The 2015 Educational Technology Services (ETS) Open House, held August 18th in Dwinelle Hall, offered a pre-semester forum for faculty, instructors, and GSIs to meet organizations that support their teaching and research. The event informed attendees about the resources available to instructors, answer questions related to those services, and provide on-site support consultations.

At the Open House, Research IT connected with representatives from groups across campus working in educational and research technology, along with attendees from an array of disciplines. Promotional material and posters for Research Data Management, Berkeley Research Computing (BRC), Digital Humanities, and Collection Space sparked conversation with a diverse cross section of campus, from researchers in Public Policy, to Public Health, to Archaeology.  Research IT described the relationship between initiatives like BRC and Research Data Management, which work together to provide consulting services at every stage of the research process.

Other teaching support and research groups that participated in the open house included: Academic Integrity, bCourses, bConnected, Berkeley Library, Berkeley Resource Center for Online Education (BRCOE), Center for Teaching and Learning, Classroom Technology Support (CTS), Clickers, Course Capture (Webcast), Drop-in and Instructional Computer Facilities, and the GSI Resource Center.
