Figshare is a repository where users can make all of their research outputs available in a citable, shareable and discoverable manner. Figshare allows users to upload any file format to be made visualisable in the browser so that figures, datasets, media, papers, posters, presentations and filesets can be disseminated.
Merritt is a cost-effective repository service that lets the UC community manage, archive, and share its valuable digital content. Merritt is an excellent option for users that would like to programmatically submit their data to a free, trusted, UC-supported data repository.
re3data.org is a global registry of research data repositories that covers research data repositories from different academic disciplines. It presents repositories for the permanent storage and access of data sets to researchers, funding bodies, publishers and scholarly institutions. re3data.org promotes a culture of sharing, increased access and better visibility of research data.

A cloud-hosted platform that allows researchers to store and share documents, photos, research materials and other files for collaboration. Box allows users to simultaneously edit Microsoft Office documents. Berkeley Box is available to all current faculty, staff and students, and comes with free, unlimited storage.

CalShare is a tool for creating and managing web sites for collaboration purposes. You can easily create and share sites, documents, images, lists, discussions and surveys. CalShare is also approved by the Campus Information Security and Privacy Committee as an appropriate storage location for sensitive or restricted data. CalShare is run as a recharge service for departments.
