The Research Data Management program was featured in a recent Research IT Town Hall, held on Thursday, September 24th, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, in Banatao Auditorium in Sutardja Dai Hall. Faculty, researchers, and staff attended the Town Hall to learn more about several services offered by Research IT including the Savio Cluster and Cloud Computing Support. The event was sponsored by one of Research Data Management’s close partners, Berkeley Research Computing (BRC). Chris Hoffman discussed the role of Research Data Management, the program’s many partners around campus, next steps, and the initial services that the program is offering: The Research Data Management Guide, and Research Data Management Consulting. Following the presentation, Chris Hoffman and other members of the Research Data Management team responded to questions ranging from selecting collaborative tools, to data citation, to sustainability.
